Pop-Up Community Gardens

Hello Edmonton Community Leagues,

We’re thrilled to let you know that Pop-Up Community Gardens are back for 2023! 

The Pop-Up Community Garden program helps to increase Edmontonians’ access to fresh food while providing opportunities for outdoor recreation, community involvement and wellness. 

The temporary gardens feature raised planter beds and are distributed across the city, primarily on community league licensed land or city owned land. The planters are provided with the intent of growing food in spaces that do not currently feature a Community Garden, in existing Community Gardens that have wait lists or in partnership with Community Leagues who are considering beginning the process of establishing their own Community Garden.

Applications will be open from February 1 to March 1, 2023 and will be available at www.edmonton.ca/popupgardens 

All Community Leagues are encouraged to apply including Leagues who may have received a garden in the past, or were unsuccessful with their applications in previous years.
